IQA Eleanor are looking for a trainee fibre engineer to join their team in Newcastle. As a trainee fibre engineer you will be part of our team installing, connecting and testing our fibre optic cables on new and existing PIA poles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and splicing of cables
- Assist in the installation of passive equipment
- Fibre handling and testing
- Completing relevant handover documentation and site reports
- Carrying out site surveys and safety assessments
You will need:
• Fibre Splicing experience
• iOLM testing
• Openreach – 1 year (preferred)
• PIA Accreditation – SA001, SA002, S7 (preferred)
• A valid NRSWA Street works Operative Licence Unit 2 (preferred)
