The Role
As a Commercial Plumbing Engineer, you'll carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive plumbing repairs and minor installation works across a portfolio of railway stations and associated commercial properties.
Working independently, you'll ensure plumbing systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational whilst delivering a first-class service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial plumbing systems
- Diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently
- Service and maintain hot and cold water systems
- Repair and replace sanitaryware, valves, pumps and pipework
- Complete minor plumbing installations and remedial works
- Attend reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Complete electronic job reports and maintenance records
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and industry standards
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Experience working within commercial maintenance or facilities management
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good IT and communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
Desirable
Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Water Regulations
- Legionella / L8
- Unvented Hot Water Systems
- CSCS or ECS Card
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Asbestos Awareness
- First Aid
- Sentinel PTS
- Railway maintenance experience
