The Role

As a Commercial Plumbing Engineer, you'll carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive plumbing repairs and minor installation works across a portfolio of railway stations and associated commercial properties.

Working independently, you'll ensure plumbing systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational whilst delivering a first-class service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial plumbing systems
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently
  • Service and maintain hot and cold water systems
  • Repair and replace sanitaryware, valves, pumps and pipework
  • Complete minor plumbing installations and remedial works
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs
  • Complete electronic job reports and maintenance records
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and industry standards
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within commercial maintenance or facilities management
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good IT and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload

Desirable

Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Water Regulations
  • Legionella / L8
  • Unvented Hot Water Systems
  • CSCS or ECS Card
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • First Aid
  • Sentinel PTS
  • Railway maintenance experience
