Employment Locum Solicitor / CILEX

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Locum Solicitor or CILEX to join a busy employment team on an immediate-start contract basis.

This role will suit an Employment Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE and strong experience handling contentious employment matters for both claimants and respondents. The successful candidate will take responsibility for an existing caseload of Employment Tribunal matters, managing cases through to conclusion.

The role will primarily focus on issued tribunal claims and will involve advising clients, formulating case strategy, drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements and conducting all aspects of case management. Administrative support may be available for tasks such as bundle preparation.

In addition to managing live cases, you will also be required to review new enquiries and provide written advice on the merits and prospects of potential claims.

Candidates should be able to work independently, manage competing deadlines and provide commercially focused, practical advice. Strong technical employment law knowledge and excellent written communication skills are essential.

The position is initially offered as a 2-3 month contract and is considered to fall inside IR35. Fully remote working will be considered for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer seeking flexibility.
