Residential Conveyancer (FTC - 12 Month Maternity Cover)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a well-established law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave from January 2027.

Based in Sheldon, this role will involve managing a high-volume caseload of residential property matters, with a particular focus on sales transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing files efficiently from instruction through to post-completion, while maintaining high standards of client care and communication throughout the transaction process.

The role would suit a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Conveyancer with a proven track record of independently managing residential conveyancing matters.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion
• Handling a high volume of residential property sales
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
• Ensuring matters progress efficiently and within agreed timescales
• Maintaining accurate file management and compliance procedures
• Delivering excellent client care and clear communication throughout transactions

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or equivalent conveyancing experience
• Approximately 2-3 years' experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
• Strong technical knowledge of the conveyancing process
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive and professional approach
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational and time management skills
