An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Litigation Locum Solicitor or FCILEx to join a busy and supportive litigation team on an interim basis.
This role would suit a lawyer with strong experience in civil disputes who can quickly integrate into an established team and manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision. Particular expertise in contentious probate and property litigation is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a range of disputes from instruction through to resolution, advising clients on strategy, risk and prospects of success whilst delivering a high standard of client care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of civil litigation matters
- Handling contentious probate and property litigation disputes
- Advising clients throughout the litigation process
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and correspondence
- Conducting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate
- Developing and implementing effective litigation strategies
- Keeping up to date with developments in civil litigation and relevant case law
- Maintaining excellent standards of client service and file management
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) with at least 3 years' PQE and demonstrable experience handling contentious probate and property litigation matters.
Candidates should possess:
- Strong litigation and dispute resolution experience
- Expertise in contentious probate and property disputes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A practical and commercially focused approach
- The ability to manage a caseload independently
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
