Supply Chain Specialist – Worcester

£24,000 - £32,000

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Specialist to join a UK known manufacturer in the Worcester Area!

With no day ever being the same the Supply Chain Specialist role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor KPIs
• Overseeing all the inventory levels - ensuring the right amount of stock, conducting audits and minimizing excess inventory
• Help to train and develop supply chain staff
• Coordinating with suppliers making sure all deliveries of goods and materials are timely – negotiating prices etc
• Supplier Management – building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
• Look at areas for process improvement - increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) – holding or working towards
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge and experience of working with supply chain management software systems e.g. ERP’s, WMS, TMS etc
• Strong knowledge and understanding of inventory control, forecasting and optimisation techniques
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes
• Excellent communication skills
