Direct Technical Buyer – Plymouth

£35,000 - £45,000

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Direct Technical Buyer to join a special purpose manufacturing company in the Plymouth area!

With no day ever being the same the Direct Technical Buyer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Material cost management: Negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Support the procurement and deal with all internal and external queries.
• Action MRP exception reports within agreed timeframe
• Ensure compliance to sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and QHSE and ethics policies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Educated to Degree Level (or equivalent) / CIPS qualification or equivalent
• Experience in buying/ procurement in the manufacturing industry.
• Reading and understanding technical specifications and drawings.
• SAP experience – Desirable
