JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 3rd Shift
1. Assist in the operation of conveyor belt manufacturing machine.
2. Familiarization with existing and new product run parameters prior to start up.
3. Knowledge of the production process, including raw materials: paste, fabric, finished product.
4. Assist with machine readiness by verifying materials in place in operational for daily production run paste, fabric, pumps).
5. Check sewing machines at the beginning of the each shift and before sewing seams for problems such as thread, broken needles, etc.)
6. Monitor belt quality on assistant side of machine. Routinely check and communicate belt quality with the machine operator.
7. Monitor seams and changes that go through the machine. Assist with machine clean up as needed.
8. Assist in removing empty cores from bars when rolls are changed and bars are replaced.
9. Coordinate fabric and belt roll changes.
10.Trouble shoot problems on assistant side of machine.
11.Clean up paste spills.
12.Fill in for machine operator for short periods (lunch, breaks)
13.Assist with machine cleaning when needed.
