Our client is a leading manufacturing company with a target turnover of over £40M this year. They are on a mission to exceed there customers' demands and deliver high-quality bespoke products. There manufacturing processes demand a responsive and flexible approach to planning.

As the Electrical Projects Engineer you will have strong focus on hands on installation, containment design and electrical distribution. The role will include acting as Electrical Duty Holder; ensuring compliance with statutory regulations maintaining safe, efficient electrical infrastructure that supports production and capital projects.


Key responsibilities

• Design and install electrical containment systems. Plan and execute electrical installations for new machinery and infrastructure. Coordinate contractors and suppliers for project execution and compliance. Manage small to medium capital projects from concept through to commissioning

• Maintain and upgrade LV distribution systems (switchgear, panels and submains). Carry out load assessments and cable sizing for new equipment. 

• Carry out on site electrical work (e.g. cable pulling, terminations, testing). Support other teams with fault-finding and root cause analysis.

• Supervise and mentor apprentices or junior electricians as and when required and directed by the business.

• Act as the site Electrical Duty Holder, ensuring compliance with EAWR (Electricity at Work Regulations). Maintain up-to date electrical schematics, risk assessments and inspection records. Lead electrical safety audits to ensure all work is carried out safely and to standard.

• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Extensive manufacturing experience
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation. 18th edition of Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Project delivery experience and strong practical electrical skills
  • People management experience
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent in Inspection & Testing (desirable)


Shifts & Benefits Package:

• Shift:- Monday to Friday Days (40 hours per week)
• Salary:- £48,000 DOE
• Benefits:- Pension 4% employer and 5% employee, 22 Days Holiday + BH
