Our client is a leading Company within the process industry with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to a company re-structure and development within the organisation, they are looking for an Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team as they grow as a business.


Role & Responsibilities:

•Responsibility for electrical and instrumentation of all plant and equipment
•Providing support and working with the Engineering manager on engineering projects and the maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure smooth andcontinuous operation of plant and equipment.
•Responding to electrical breakdowns, prompt fault diagnosis and the remedying of faults.
•Performance of routine and planned preventative maintenance.
•Contributing towards improved equipment reliability and optimization.
•Development of electrical maintenance strategies.
•Involvement projects to refurbish machinery.
•Responsibility for ensuring machine and equipment software is safety backed up with indexed documentation to facilitate quick recovery of lost programs and data.
•Addressing Engineering Job Requests that are allocated to you as tasks.
•Management of E & I projects.
•Liaising with other departments to minimise disruption to production.
•Procurement of replacement parts and spares.
Organising and liaising with contractors as required.
•Planning and smooth execution maintenance activities (shuts).
•Keeping Engineering Manager informed of problems that impact production.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Educated in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to fault find within electrical panels (Essential)
• Proven hands on electrical engineering skills.
• Strong electrical diagnostic skills.
• Experience with PLC/HMI’s, drives and drive controls and writing code (Siemens)
• Knowledge of the operation of coating and slitting machinery.



Shifts & Benefits Package:

• Shift:- Monday - Thursday (8:00am to 7:15pm and 7:15pm to 6:30am)
• Salary:- £45,000+ Overtime
• Benefits:- Life Assurance
