Fawkes and Reece are assisting a Tier 1 Contractor with the search for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to work on Water projects around the Swansea Area.

This contract is initially a 6-month contract with a potential extension for the right candidate. This is a 45-hour-per-week role to work on a hybrid basis as part of an established team.

Duties Include:

• Be an integral member of the Commercial Team.
• Build a strong relationship with client counterparts
• Ensure all company and Client processes are followed to minimise WIP (outstanding cash)
• Keep WIP within the contract and business target
• Ensure cash is received on time at forecast level
• Support the production of Monthly CVR's
• Manage and price change within the terms of the contract
• Provide support for pricing contracts working closely with the client
• Support the procurement and management of sub-contractors and other suppliers
• Develop and implement changes to the process, following an understanding of a need to make changes to improve performance
• Produce and present productivity measures linked to the operations resource to ensure tender compliance

Person Specification

• A degree in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or other construction-related subject or l previous experience in a similar position
• Knowledgeable in NEC Contracts
• Able to adapt to dynamic workflows

Package includes:

• £250 - £350 Inside Scope Per Day
