Roads Australia is the peak body representing the roads sector as part of the wider transport system. Representing more than 130 members, Roads Australia is a highly regarded forum for policy discussion, networking and communication, with the purpose of bringing industry and government together to lead the evolution of Australia’s roads, integrated transport and mobility networks. Roads Australia’s members include all of Australia’s transport agencies, road owners, major contractors and consultants, material suppliers and technology providers.
Roads Australia has a new CEO with a fresh approach to providing member services, policy development, and public representation. A newly focused leadership team will work closely with the CEO, the Board, government and industry to refresh Roads Australia to work on key transport issues including sector wide approaches to zero emissions, connected vehicles, the procurement pipeline, work safety and workplace of the future.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director - Membership Services is responsible for driving the retention and growth of RA’s membership base and management of key membership programs and events. The position will manage the governance and structure to track progress and measure growth success, diversify revenue streams, bring on new partners and sponsors, increase and retain membership, and ensure the organisation’s value proposition is clearly defined. Through this, the Executive Director - Membership Services will increase the profile, reputation and attraction of Roads Australia as a peak industry body in the roads and broader transport sector.
To be considered for this role, you will have proven executive experience leading membership services and an appreciation for what a contemporary member value proposition looks like in the peak body or association sectors. You will have demonstrated high-level experience in dealing constructively with a range of complex stakeholders, including proactively building strong relationships with regulated bodies and key industry members. A broad understanding of Australia’s transport or adjacent sector is desirable, however not mandatory.
