Essential functions for this Electrical Manufacturing Engineer will include:
- Process Optimization - Analyze/optimize manufacturing processes related to electrical assembly; Identify opportunities for automation and implement innovative solutions to enhance production capabilities.
- Fixture and Tooling Design - Collaborate with the design and production teams to create and develop custom fixtures and tooling for electrical assembly processes; Evaluate and select appropriate materials for fixtures and tooling, considering durability and performance requirements.
- Quality Assurance - Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards and specifications; Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any manufacturing-related issues affecting product quality.
- Design Manufacturability Assessment - Collaborate with the design team to assess the manufacturability of electrical components; Investigate and analyze design issues, conduct thorough reviews of design specifications, identifying potential challenges, and proposing engineering solutions to enhance manufacturability, streamline processes and reduce production costs.
- Continuous Improvement - Drive continuous improvement initiatives via Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma principles; Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans for manufacturing issues.
- Safety Compliance - Ensure all manufacturing processes and procedures comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
We're looking for Buyers with the following background profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role
- Proven experience with electrical assemblies, installations, fixture and tooling design, fabrication techniques, process documentation and quality control methodologies
- Strong proficiency with CATIA, AutoCAD, Solidworks and MS Office
