An established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint experienced Project Managers to support the delivery of a portfolio of major Network Rail infrastructure projects across the Leeds and York areas.
The work will include works such as structures, bridges, earthworks, highways, drainage, station infrastructure, enabling works and associated civil engineering packages.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who understands the demands of working within a rail environment and can take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Previous Network Rail experience is highly desirable.

Project Experience
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering project delivery, ideally within the rail sector.
Relevant project experience could include:

  • Bridge construction and refurbishment
  • Railway structures
  • Station infrastructure
  • Multi-storey car parks
  • Highways and access roads
  • Earthworks and groundworks
  • Drainage and attenuation
  • Reinforced concrete structures
  • Retaining walls
  • Enabling works
  • Level-crossing infrastructure
  • Utilities and diversion works
  • Demolition and site clearance
  • Temporary works
  • Public realm and associated infrastructure


Essential Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager within civil engineering/construction.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Experience managing civil engineering projects with responsibility for programme, cost, quality and safety.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site-based delivery teams.
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Good understanding of construction programmes, project controls, risk and change management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated construction or infrastructure environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
