My client is urgently seeking to add an Interior Designer to their growing architecture team. Advance your career working for a progressive, extremely organized, and highly respected design firm. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design proposal/presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including detailed product descriptions, and provision of contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement, and installation of furniture.
- Strong aptitude for creative millwork design and documentation.
- Select color palettes, materials and finishes to appropriately convey the design concept,
provide functionality, life-cycle performance considerations, and address environmental
and safety concerns. - Prepare construction documents, consisting of plans, elevations, details, and
specifications to illustrate power and communication locations, reflected ceiling plans
and lighting designs, materials and finishes, millwork and furniture layouts. - Ability to field measure and document building conditions.
- Have knowledge of the construction administration process.
- Have the ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team.
- Have strong time management and task completion skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5+ years of experience as an interior designer.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or equivalent.
- Fluency and confidence using Revit and 3D rendering (Enscape).
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess excellent written and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- NCIDQ or equivalent accreditation.
- Experience with commercial, retail, and institutional projects.
