Technology Risk Manager (BBBH18189) Sydney CBD, Sydney, Australia
- Key responsibilities:
- Collaboration with Enterprise Risk and Compliance to the deliver high-quality risk advice and specialist support across Cyber, Technology and Sourcing.
- Execution of operational risk framework requirements across the business. This includes risk identification and assessment, incident & issue management, key risk indicators and related actions, risk in change assessments, product operational risk assessments, outsourcing assessments (both initial and ongoing), business continuity matters, accuracy and integrity of data in risk systems etc for aligned business units.
- Assist in the execution of control assurance activities for aligned business units, communication of results and monitoring of execution of remedial actions.
- Escalation of risk, control weaknesses, incidents and issues that remain unmitigated and/or outside tolerance to relevant stakeholders and identify areas for targeted assurance activity.
- Assist in embedding an effective risk culture and champion the importance of effective risk management practices.
Essential Requirements:
- Passionate - demonstrate a deep interest for technologies through previous experiences
- Problem solver - proactively thinks through issues and the impacts
- Experience working in a relevant Line 1 or line 2 position
- Prior experience within IT services
- Extensive practical experience with risk management frameworks and operational risk disciplines
- Experience designing and implementing information security policy frameworks as per the compliance obligations.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders
- Understanding of the regulatory environment as well as key legislation impacting on business activities in financial services sector
- Understanding of operational processes, business complexities and interdependencies
- Tertiary qualifications in Technology, Law, Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance or equivalent.
