Roles & Responsibilities

The Environmental and Sustainability Advisor role will involve a number of existing projects and projects identified by the successful candidate. You will be tasked with managing these projects, as well as ensuring the business is legally compliant with legislation and product specifications.

  • Manage in its entirety the Environmental and Sustainability program
  • Manage environmental product declarations
  • Direct initiatives in line with the overall Group program commitments
  • Coordinate & advise on environmental operations to provide technical support & to ensure regulatory compliance along with marketing initiatives
  • Carry out weekly site tours for environment compliance
  • Carry out environmental compliance audits and update the legal register
  • Carry out environmental awareness training for relevant employees
  • Carry out environmental incident investigations
  • Investigate environmental concerns such as increases in energy usage, energy efficient lighting and electric car usage
  • Assess potential environmental risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Maintain environmental permits/exemptions
  • Identify areas of improvements to reduce environmental damages and waste
  • Coordinate waste disposal

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Educated to degree level with an Environmental/Sustainability focus
  • Knowledge of environmental and product performance issues
  • Understanding of environment compliance and regulatory issues for a manufacturing business

 

Salary & Benefits

  • A starting salary of up to £30,000
  • Annual profit share, up to 10%
  • 9% company pension (5% employer contribution + 4% employee contribution)
