Part of a large International Group, this successful manufacturer leads the way in R&D and solutions to industry. The business has developed over 150 variations are experiencing excellent progress in the market. They have exciting growth plans to double the turnover over the next 5 years and they are currently looking for a Sales Manager to support with this.  It is a newly created position for the business and will be paramount to the company’s success. You will develop and execute a sales strategy that attracts, converts, and retains clients. In this critical management role, your leadership style will be instrumental in driving the sales team to success.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the business sales strategy to align with the company’s goals.
  • Set clear and achievable sales objectives and support the sales team to exceed targets.
  • Create comprehensive sales plans for both short and long terms and guide the team to achieve set objectives.
  • Explore opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing clients, as well as identifying new revenue streams.
  • Forecast deliverables accurately and analyse customer needs to recommend suitable products, promoting innovation and problem-solving.
  • Deliver compelling and targeted sales pitches tailored to clients' needs and preferences.
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to ensure mutual satisfaction for both clients and the company.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing a sales team or directly managing colleagues, with a strong focus on leadership, coaching, and team development to drive performance and achieve sales targets.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Previous sales experience or technical expertise within a manufacturing business.
  • Experience building a sales team and sales strategy from scratch would be beneficial.
