Role & Responsibilities:
The Maintenance & Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving maintenance performance through ownership of maintenance KPIs, data quality, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement of maintenance systems and strategies across site assets. The role works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, Operations, and other Engineering functions to reduce unplanned losses, eliminate repeat failures, and improve asset availability, reliability, and lifecycle cost.
- Own and maintain the site’s maintenance performance KPI suite (including OEE contribution, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, breakdowns, schedule adherence, backlog health and maintenance cost performance).
- Establish and maintain reporting routines (daily/weekly/monthly) and ensure visibility of performance trends, risks, and priority improvement areas.
- Lead RCA for significant unplanned downtime events and recurring failures using structured methods (e.g., A3’S, 5-Why, Fishbone, fault tree as appropriate).
- Identify and manage a pipeline of maintenance and reliability improvement opportunities (e.g., PM optimisation, condition-based tasks, standard job methods, spares improvements, access/maintainability enhancements).

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Engineering maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (electrical discipline).
- Proven ability to lead structured RCA and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of maintenance performance metrics (OEE/MTBF/MTTR/PM compliance/schedule adherence).
- Formal CI/reliability training (Lean/TPM/RCM/Six Sigma) and practical application.
