An innovative and well-established South Wales manufacturer are currently looking to further expand and are now looking to add an experienced Tool Room Maintenance Manager to their team. This company are part of a multi-national group and operate on a global scale and supply into a diverse range of industry sectors. The business have exciting plans to capitalise on current market growth and looking to bring in a Tool Room Maintenance Manager to support and help develop this area of the business.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Toolroom/Maintenance Manager is responsible for two key areas. The first being full responsibility of maintenance and upkeep of all press/punching tooling on site. To control, implement and manage any external contractual tooling work when required, agreed critical onsite tooling spares to ensure and improve overall efficiencies and productivity on any and all tool room activities.
The second area of responsibility is the Management in full of the Engineering and Maintenance on site both from a production and facilities perspective. The job holder will proactively manage and resolve maintenance issues as they arise. Maintain accurate records of all facility and production maintenance through management control of PPM systems, while also maintaining high levels of 6S on all engineering activities and store areas at all times.
The Toolroom/Maintenance Manager retains overall accountability for the performance of these business areas. Manage all Toolroom/Maintenance activities and related costs for the above facility. Work within a defined budget to ensure that customers receive quality products, service, and on time delivery.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous experience of managing a Maintenance team
- Previous experience from a tool room background would be beneficial
- Experience of implementing PPM schedules
- Manufacturing experience is essential
- Time served apprentice
