Customer Service Representative - Freight Forwarding (210639291) Eagle Farm, Brisbane, Australia

Salary: AUD85000 - AUD95000 per annum + + super

The Company

My client is a Global Freight Forwarder with a standout brand and service across the world. As a leader in the Australasian logistics sector, they are an innovative service provider that embraces collaboration, learning, and development. Due to continuous growth & expansion they are looking to add a Customer Service Specialist to the team based in Eagle Farm. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work in a team with a strong focus on supporting key accounts, and process & compliance excellence.

 

The Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the key point of contact for customers and overseas partners, providing timely shipment updates
  • Handle order entry, shipment tracking, and status reporting through CargoWise
  • Prepare and issue accurate quotes, sourcing competitive rates from agents and carriers
  • Coordinate closely with customs brokers, airlines, shipping lines, and transport providers to ensure smooth delivery
  • Maintain accurate customer and vendor records within internal systems
  • Monitor shipments proactively, managing delays or exceptions to keep clients informed
  • Build strong client relationships through reliable service and consistent communication

 

Your Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role in freight forwarding
  • Relationship-building skills and strong communication abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Prior experience using CargoWise (CW1) is highly regarded
