Safety Supervisor Lead
Location: B46, with travel across the Delta/5S area
Pay Rate: £26.96 per hour

MSSI Infrastructure are looking for an experienced Safety Supervisor Lead to support construction teams across multiple sites.
We are looking for a practical, confident safety professional with strong construction experience and excellent health and safety knowledge. This is a hands-on site-based role working closely with supervisors, foremen, managers and subcontractors to improve standards and ensure work is carried out safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily and task briefings, POWRA and RAMS
- Monitor standards and point-of-work controls
- Challenge unsafe behaviours and poor working practices
- Support stop-work decisions where required
- Identify risks involving plant, lifting, access routes, trades and adjacent works
- Coach supervisors and gangs on safe working practices
- Ensure teams understand permits, controls and emergency arrangements
- Record observations, interventions and follow-up actions
- Escalate repeated or unresolved safety concerns
Essential Requirements
- Strong construction health and safety knowledge
- Previous experience in a live construction supervisory role
- Gold CSCS Supervisor, Black Manager Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Good spoken and written English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT and reporting skills
NEBOSH Construction, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is preferred. Candidates without NEBOSH should hold a relevant construction supervisory qualification such as NVQ Level 3/4 in Occupational Work Supervision or Construction Site Supervision.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is comfortable challenging supervisors, managers and subcontractors when required, while working constructively with delivery teams to improve safety standards.
Experience within major infrastructure, heavy civils, tunnelling, structures or lifting would be highly advantageous.
