HSE Offshore Associate

HSE Offshore Associate (12/02/2024) Paris, France

We are looking for an HSE Offshore Associate for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: La Défense, Paris

Start Date: March 2024

Contract Duration: 8 months

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Coming from a Bac + 4/5 training (engineer or 3rd cycle diploma),
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in the HSE (offshore) field,
  • Fluency in fluent French and English (written and oral) is mandatory,
  • Ability to adapt to integrate into existing project teams,
  • Resistance to stress, ability to react to possible accidents,
  • Writing and organizational skills to work on several projects in parallel,
  • Communication and listening skills to carry out missions while integrating the multicultural dimension and the organizational complexity inherent to this type of project,
  • Holder of a valid B permit,
  • Valid BOSIET training,
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness for Offshore Work.

The Offshore HSE Associate Officer:

  • Ensures that all HSE specifications are understood and implemented by the service providers in the Contract,

To do so, he/she must:

  • Get acquainted with operations, companies (including subcontractors), schedules and project teams,
  • Participate in operational meetings of projects,
  • Propose, prepare and lead HSE moments and talks,
  • Review the HSE deliverables of the awarding service providers,
  • Prepare and participate in risk analysis sessions prior to operations,
  • Carry out HSE visits,
  • Carry out HSE inspections of vessels (guard vessels, fishing vessels, etc.) in France or abroad and ensure the quality of HSE inspections carried out by service providers,
  • Ensure the HSE follow-up of operations by reviewing daily progress reports and analyzing the data transmitted by the Customer representatives on board,
  • Participate, when necessary, in the analysis of HSE events,
  • Participate in the implementation of emergency drills,
  • Fill in the register of significant HSE events and ensure that it is updated,
  • Collect information from service providers to carry out monthly reporting of HSE indicators,
  • Use and save documents on the HSE DIIReM computer network in order to make the information available,

Framework Contract Engineering, HSE and Major Projects Expertise Support

  • Participate in the consolidation of feedback,
  • Participate in the updating of the DIIREM HSE reference and specifications through their feedback,
  • Participate in cross-functional document preparation (DIIREM Info Sécurité/Environnement, MEMO, etc.),
  • Ensure the follow-up of PPE used for offshore,
  • Ensure regular internal HSE reporting to the façade HSE project manager.
  • The deliverables will be carried out from the client's IS.

Mandatory travel to be planned:

  • Very regular trips for HSE visits and ship inspections in France or even in Europe, requiring great mobility,
  • Occasional trips at sea by ship.
