We are looking for a Offshore Wind Yield Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:  

Strat Date: ASAP

Location : Paris – France

Contract Duration : 6 months extendable

Main Qualifications :

• Engineering Degree.
• +7 years of experience in similar position.
• Good Knowledge in Fluid Mechanical,numerical analysis,statistics,meteorology.
• Proficient English Level, French is a plus.
• Wind Energy Development knowledge.
• Wind Engineering Software: CFD ( Meteyodyn), data analysis ( Windographer), wind farm design Wind Engineering Software: CFD ( Meteyodyn), data analysis ( Windographer), wind farm design (windpro,Openwind).

Main Responsibilities :

• Support all activities relating to the expertise of wind measurement, analysis of wind resources and calculation of wind energy - Onshore/Offshore.
• Participate to all activities relating to wind energy yield activities, whether within the team or for Business Unit teams or JV/consortium teams.
• Define site measurement campaign using masts, LiDAR, floating LiDAR, etc… : define the technical specifications, receipt and validation of technical offers, monitoring and receipt of measurements - Onshore/ Offshore.
• Performance monitoring and analyse wind data from on-site measurement campaigns - Onshore/Offshore.
• Wind flow model implementation, layout optimization, wind turbines selection, particular effort on benchmark, comparison and expertise in wake effect modelling - Onshore/Offshore.
• Realise wind energy yield assessment, production estimation and associating uncertainties of wind farms in the tender phase, project phase and in the operation phase - Onshore / Offshore.
• Assist in writing and issuing technical reports, technical specifications, technical guides for internal or external use - Onshore/Offshore.
• Review and comment independent wind studies (partners or external organizations), Vendor Due diligence - Onshore/Offshore.
• Assist in the implementation of internal methodologies for the definition of layouts, wind analysis and calculation of producible (choice of software solutions, optimization of layouts, wake models, estimation of technical losses etc) - Onshore/Offshore.
• Assist Business teams/architects for the selection and characterization of new wind power sites all over the world using internal or external ad-hoc tools - Onshore/Offshore.
• Participate in R&D activities and the development of internal tools - Onshore/Offshore.
