Perfumery Assistant - Fragrance Industry

I am currently working on an exclusive mandate a leading International Specialty Fragrance Business to help them identify a suitable candidate for a Perfumery Assistant position based in Singapore. It’s a new setup in Singapore, comprising of a Center of Excellence Laboratory to service customers in Middle East and SEA region. This role will be reporting to the Technical manager and will be in charge of the following areas.

• Responsible for accurate, timely and efficient blending of the fragrances for the perfumer.
• Responsible for maintaining documentation of the perfumer (formulations, requisitions etc.)
• Responsible to provide oils to the application department for trials.
• Responsible to maintain data and formulations (AL. Nos.) in absence of the responsible formula manager.
• Responsible for the housekeeping of the perfumery lab.
• Responsible to assist the perfumer in creations by giving olfactive inputs and by preparing small accords, bases etc.
• Responsible to assist sample room by giving fragrances to them required for sampling.
• Responsible for the olfaction of raw materials prior to using it in blends.
• Responsible for maintaining the stock level of raw materials, packaging materials etc required in the perfumery lab.

Requirements

- Degree in Science
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in Regulations, GC, Raw Materials management and Laboratory Equipment handling
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Team player
