For our pharmaceutical client, localized in the French part of Switzerland, we are looking for a :

In vivo pharmacology Scientist

Your missions

  • Lead the design and execution of in vivo studies to support the portfolio in immuno-oncology
  • Drive innovation in animal experiments to leverage the best techniques for BEAT evaluation aligned with the 3Rs
  • Collaborate with matrix functions to define in vivo and ex vivo study plans and endpoints to validate new targets
  • Execute hands on in vivo work at all stages of animal experimentation including in life and ex vivo analysis
  • Write technical protocols, prepare, and critically evaluate animal study plans and ethical approvals
  • Communicate in a timely manner results to senior management
  • Train and coach junior team members as needed
  • Supervision of junior scientists and technicians as required
  • Write technical reports, patents and manuscripts
  • Lead external collaborations with CROs
  • Presentation of results in English
  • Perform data analysis on a regular basis and report data in laboratory notebooks in a timely manner
  • Comply with all safety guidelines



Your profile

  • Minimum of a PhD in the life sciences with at least 5 years’ experience working with immunology or oncology models in vivo, preferably in industry
  • Experience with syngeneic or CDX models required
  • Experience with humanized immune system (CD34 or PBMC) models highly desirable
  • Strong experience with handling mice is required. LTK1 and LTK2 qualified candidates (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience with handling rats is a plus
  • Experience in cell culture including human and murine cells, in flow cytometry and in ELISA is required
  • Experience in ImmunoHistoChemistry (IHC) is a plus
  • Practical knowledge in data analysis using standard software is required
  • Experience in drug discovery is required
  • Prior management of small teams experience is preferred
  • Comfortable working in an English speaking environment with fluency in French a plus
