Pay Rate Of a General Operative : £14.50 per hour

Shift Pattern (Rotating) as a General Operative:

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 14:00 – 22:00

General Operative – Key Responsibilities

As a General Operative, you will be working in a warehouse environment moving and handling large cables. The General Operative role will include:

• Moving, lifting and positioning large cables safely and efficiently.
• Supporting general warehouse duties such as picking, staging, wrapping and stock movement.
• Using an FLT Counterbalance when required (licence preferred).
• Loading/unloading goods and moving stock to designated locations.
• Following health & safety procedures and safe manual handling at all times.
• Keeping your area clean, tidy, and compliant with site standards.
• Working as part of the wider team to meet daily operational targets.

General Operative – Requirements

To succeed as a General Operative, you should have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role (heavy/bulky items beneficial).
• Confidence with manual handling and physical work throughout the shift.
• FLT Counterbalance licence preferred (but not essential).
• Reliability and punctuality to work the rotating shifts consistently.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
