Production Operative / Food Packer (Harrow) - Temporary ongoing assignment

Role overview

You will work across multiple departments and must be flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, chilled environment handling all meat products (including non-halal).

Shift patterns

•               AM shift: 05:45 – 13:45

•               PM shift: 14:00 – 22:00

•               You must be available to work 2 or more shifts per week as and when required

Pay rates

•               Standard rate: £13.24 per hour

•               Overtime rate: £19.86 per hour

Key duties & responsibilities (departmental rotation)

1) Assembly Department (Pizza Topping / Line Work)

•               Working on the production line assembling and topping pizzas accurately to specification

•               Following portion control and product build guidelines

•               Keeping pace with line speeds while maintaining quality standards

2) Packing Department (Packing / Stacking Finished Products)

•               Packing finished products into correct packaging

•               Stacking and palletising packed items safely and neatly

•               Labelling checks and basic quality checks (e.g., seals, product appearance, correct packs)

3) Bakery Department (Base Making / Tray Loading for Assembly)

•               Making pizza bases in line with production requirements

•               Handling cooked bases and placing them into trays ready to go to the assembly department

•               Maintaining hygiene and preventing product damage during handling

General responsibilities (all departments)

•               Working to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety rules at all times

•               Cleaning work areas and equipment as required (including end-of-shift cleans)

•               Manual handling (lifting trays/boxes) and standing for long periods

•               Reporting any product faults, safety issues or equipment concerns

Requirements

•               Must be 18 years or over

•               Must have the legal right to work in the UK

•               Willing and able to work with all meat products including non-halal

•               Comfortable working in a chilled production environment

•               Flexible to work across different departments as required
