Salary: AUD38 - AUD40 per hour

About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Credit function by managing the end-to-end AR process, including daily banking, cash allocation, collections, and reconciliations. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process high volumes of incoming payments accurately and within required timeframes
  • Perform daily cash allocation across multiple customer accounts in a highly manual environment
  • Investigate and resolve unallocated or unidentified payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and internal ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and payment issues
  • Conduct outbound collection calls for overdue accounts in a professional and timely manner
  • Monitor aged receivables and proactively reduce outstanding debt
  • Negotiate payment plans and resolve customer account queries
  • Support credit control activities, including basic credit assessments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and customer interactions

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume Accounts Receivable environment
  • Proven experience managing a large customer portfolio
  • Trade credit experience highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working with multiple ERP systems
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, data reconciliation)
  • High attention to detail with strong time management and organisational skills
