Our client, a high-powered and fast-moving CEO in the energy space, is seeking a Temporary Personal Assistant to serve as a second-in-command to his current Executive Assistant. The CEO’s long-standing EA is exceptional but currently at capacity due to the pace and complexity of the executive’s professional and personal demands. This role is designed to provide critical support in both areas, serving as a trusted partner and ensuring the CEO remains organized and focused.

This is a hybrid role based in Midtown Manhattan, with four days in the office and Fridays remote from 8:30am-5:30pm daily with reachability after hours and weekends. While this role starts as a temporary assignment, the team is open to converting the right candidate to a permanent hire. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support including calendar management for both professional and personal commitments
  • Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, including flight and hotel bookings, ground transportation, and visa management
  • Serve as liaison between the CEO and his family, especially his wife, to manage household and family logistics (sports schedules, school events, graduations, etc.)
  • Manage ad hoc personal errands and tasks such as coordinating meals, sourcing gifts, or running out for lunch as needed
  • Track and prioritize multiple competing deadlines with excellent judgment and discretion
  • Collaborate closely with the primary EA to ensure seamless day-to-day support and coverage

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience supporting a C-level executive, ideally in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment
  • Proven experience balancing both professional and personal assistant duties
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to anticipate needs and pivot quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and emotional intelligence; able to “read the room” and adjust accordingly
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful, with a calm, polished demeanor under pressure
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative to get things done
