Operations Associate (A1459897NY-Temp) New York, New York

Salary: USD23 - USD25 per hour

Our client, a nonprofit organization located in Lower Manhattan is looking for a Part-Time Temporary Operations Associate to join their team. This position will start June 1st  and will operate on an in office schedule Tuesdays: 9:30am-4:30pm, Wednesdays: 9:30am-4:30pm, Thursdays: 9:30am-2:30pm with some flexibility to stay 5pm-7p with ample notice. The temp duration is approximately 90 days. Compensation is $23-25/hour.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and direct mail and packages, including scanning and documenting donations and invoices
  • Support onboarding of new staff (office tours, email setup, filing systems)
  • Track, order, and maintain office and PPE supplies
  • Troubleshoot laptops, printers, and other office technology
  • Maintain printer functionality for office use
  • Communicate with building management regarding repairs or urgent office issues at the direction of leadership
  • Data entry and file maintenance documenting summer intern activities
  • Meeting and event support, including printing materials and technology setup
  • Distribute, track usage of, and reorder OMNY cards
  • Meet and greet visitors and clients
  • Triage paperwork, invoices, and court documents
  • Perform other administrative and operational tasks as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Google Workplace (email, file maintenance)
  • Comfort with common office technology (printers, phones, presentation displays)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working in a diverse workplace with adolescent clients
