Salary: USD33 - USD33 per hour

Our client, an Investment Management firm located in the Flatiron area of Manhattan is seeking to hire a Temporary Workplace Services Coordinator to support their New York City office. You must be able to commit to 6 months for this assignment with flexibility to extend. This position will start ASAP and requires 5 days in office. Hours are 8:00-5:00 with availability for OT as needed. Pay is up to $33/hr DOE

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Reception & Front Desk Operations
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, guests, and vendors, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing activities, including visitor check-ins, deliveries, phone calls, and mail.
  • Maintain office procedures, internal documentation, and communication channels.
  • Conduct periodic walkthroughs to ensure service/product excellence across key touchpoints (e.g., F&B, meeting rooms, workspaces).
  • Collaborate with the reception team, covering solo desk shifts (e.g., afternoons) to support peer/lead focus projects.
  • Coordinate in-person interviews, ensuring candidates are greeted, guided, and have all necessary materials.
  • Manage interview room/conference room logistics (scheduling, cleanliness, and technology setup).
  • Serve as the on-site contact for 1-2 weekly events (e.g., intern programs, talent development sessions) which may require evening and weekend work.
  • Assist with event setup, vendor coordination, and attendee support.
  • Partner with Workplace Services, HR, and Recruiting teams on ad-hoc projects.
  • Provide white-glove service to VIP visitors and employees.
  • Additional duties as assigned or needed.

 

Skills You’ll Need:

  • At least 1 year of office administration, reception, hospitality or customer service experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to display discretion and take initiative on the job.
  • Reliable and predictable availability, including the ability to work onsite five days a week.
