Gust Services Liaison/Staff Assistant (A1454025NY-Temp) New York, New York

Salary: USD22 - USD22 per hour

Our client, a healthcare organization located in Manhattan is looking for a Temporary Guest Services Liaison/Staff Assistant to join their team. This position will serve from May 2026 - September 2026 and will operate on an in-office schedule between the hours of 12pm – 8pm, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend rotations. Compensation is $22/hour.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide current patient location information to visitors, staff, and telephone inquiries
  • Greet visitors and patients and direct them to appropriate areas of the Center
  • Monitor elevators and lobby areas and explain visitation policies
  • Respond to and triage all calls and walk-in requests to the Patient Representative Department
  • Identify urgent calls and hand-deliver messages or use the paging system as appropriate
  • Track uncollected or duplicate messages and page Patient Representatives when necessary
  • Determine the nature of requests by asking appropriate questions of callers and visitors
  • Locate patients through systems and coordination with other staff members
  • Transfer calls to patients and provide callers with direct contact numbers
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding blocked patient information
  • Notify appropriate departments of patient location or room changes
  • Direct waiting family members and visitors to conference rooms when needed
  • Provide clear directions and information regarding departments, services, and staff
  • Inform visitors of relevant policies, procedures, and visitation guidelines
  • Assist visitors with local accommodations such as hotels, restaurants, and parking
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Director of Patient Relations

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
