Our client, a leading asset management firm located in Manhattan, is looking for a Temporary Research Assistant to join their team. This position will serve a 1–2 month commitment with flexibility to extend. This will be 5 days in‑office schedule between the hours of 8:00am–5:30pm Monday–Thursday and 8:00am–5:00pm Friday. Compensation is up to $40/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, screen/forward appropriately, take messages
- Schedule meetings and appointments; coordinate materials, details, agendas and rooms
- Collaborate with receptionist to ensure calendar accuracy
- Partner with other assistants when scheduling for multiple PMs/analysts
- Review emails and identify relevant events, calls, and conferences
- Track conference deadlines and ensure registration
- Liaise with brokers, banks, and investor relations contacts
- Register PMs/Analysts for conferences and investor days; schedule related meetings
- Maintain up‑to‑date agendas for conferences and investor days and add relevant sessions to calendars
- Maintain and update contact lists
- Create/update documents, spreadsheets, and organizational tools for PMs/Analysts
- Produce and distribute correspondence
- Assist with scheduled reports
- Maintain filing systems
- Track quarterly earnings call calendars; provide press releases, transcripts, estimates, and reports via FactSet/Bloomberg
- Book travel (flights, cars, hotels, itineraries); maintain preferences and loyalty numbers
- Submit and reconcile expense reports
- Provide visitor support
- Take notes on calls as needed
- Work cross-functionally with other assistants to ensure full coverage
- Contribute to Research Assistant team as a strong team player
Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years administrative or EA experience in a professional office
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience with expense reports and travel arrangements
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong work ethic
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up
- Team-oriented, proactive problem solver
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
