Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager (JO1200025) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Salary: USD5000 - USD6000 per month

One of our reputed Clients a Construction Company is looking forward to recruiting a Procurement Manager with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

  • Identify bidder and evaluate bidder’s eligibility, prepare and issue the techno-commercial tender documents to the approved bidders.
  • Generation of enquiries on the basis of Consultant / Customer specifications & discussion with the Vendors.
  • Preparation of Commercial Bid Evaluation, Price Comparative, and Evaluating offers along with technical entities.
  • Organize the Techno- Commercial meeting and negotiation meetings with Vendors.
  • Establishing of Contract Agreement; Letter of Intent Purchase Order.
  • Check and regularize Performance Bank Guarantees, Advance Bank Guarantee and Invoices.
  • Co-ordination & follow up with all the departments to ensure the Procurement requirement.
  • Maintain competitive files, statistics, and database/tenders.
  • Cross checking of the Design Drawings & Documents before submission our Offers.
  • Preparing the Cost Comparison, Price Negotiation with the sub vendors
  • Create RFQ for the materials and services, for projects, departments, for project materials, consumables, fixed assets, equipment, services and sub contracts.
  • Follow‐up on material delivery and documentation requirements
  • Follow client standards and procedures for inspection, documentation requirements, delivery requirements, etc.
  • Generating reports in SAP and MS-EXCEL for the Purchase requisitions, RFQ’s and PO’s
  • Monitoring of the Document control and expediting activities concerning the above  purchasing documents
  • Attending client meetings and meetings with designers
  • Attending vendor facilities, as necessary in expediting and follow up
  • Generating vendor database for the materials and services
  • Oversee client requirements and making sure product is received and all transactions are recorded
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Create reports as necessary and distribute according to agreed frequency
  • Work with leadership members and procurement group to complete other duties as needed
  • Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality
  • Conducting cost analysis and setting benchmark for improvement
  • Supervising a purchasing Team and delegating task across Departments when necessary
  • Capability to manage each part of the supply chain to ensure consistent delivery of goods and services while identifying possible obstacles that may affect productivity
  • Work closely with company legal department to make sure Contracts and terms are favorable

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical & Instrumentation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed University/Collage with good academic. Candidates to hold a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Admistration, Purchasing Management or a related field of study.
  • Computer Skills: Must be computer literate Software: SAP, ERP
  • Proven minimum experience of 15 years in the similar field with specific experience as a Procurement Manager for min. 8 years in EPC Oil and Gas projects.  ADNOC Onshore Project Experience is preferred. 
  • Sourcing, purchasing, risk management and vendor management experience.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Oil & Gas tendering process, with strong ability to translate detailed technical documentation and drawings into commercial item requirements for procurement.
  • Years’ Experience: 15 to 30 years in the similar field.
