One of our reputed Clients a Construction Company is looking forward to recruiting a Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical with the following details:
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Preparation of Bills and ensure timely submission.
- Knowledge in Quantity Surveying in Mechanical Works (E&I) with understanding of the interface of associated Civil & Electrical – Instrumentation / Automation Works particularly with Piping, Pipeline, Structural Erection, Electrical Equipment Erection and Commissioning. Candidate shall be responsible for Measurement, Drawing, Invoice Log, BOQ, Subcontracts Management, Mechanical Equipment Erection & Commissioning.
- Thorough understanding of all Machine Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, AFC Drawings, As- Built Drawings and prepare Variations in Final Quantities of Work executed, also understanding os Single Line Diagrams, Cable Laying Works and some knowledge of associated SCADA Control, Intelligent Building Management System works.
- Liasion with Equipment Manufacturers and Installation Subcontractors
- The Quantity Surveyor will also work closely with all Projects, Planning, Proposal and Contracts Management team.
- Measurement and ‘Taking Off’ Quantities
- Study of all drawings and identify all additional works and prepare Variations & Claims
- Monthly Progress Invoicing
- Estimation of Construction Additional Works
- Interpretation of Contractual Clauses and thorough understanding of related Scope of Works
- Maintain all supporting documents records for Variations and all Extra Claims with a Log Sheet while working in close relationship with all Site Department Heads and Document Controllers
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice raising and keep track of all payment realizations.
- Certification of related Subcontract works and Vendor payments against supplies.
- Raise alarm in case of any kind deviation noticed against even through any verbal communication.
- Perform any other duties as required in line with the skills experience and role.
Industry: Oil & Gas Hydrocarbon Industry, preferably from Pipeline, Piping, Flow Line, Oil Head Installations and Civil – Electro – Mechanical Construction Infra-Structure also Water Treatment & Distribution Projects
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering having hands-on experience in Excel, MS and other related software.
- A post graduate Diploma from NICMAR and or RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) shall be an added advantage. 10-15 years
- Thorough understanding of EPC Contracts
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex and detailed concepts quickly.
- Interested in using/learning ARIBA or any other similar Software
- Practical experience with a variety of software applications.
- Attention to detail and excellent diagnostic skills in Quantity Execution visa vis
- Contract Interpretation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and good time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and management skills.
- Ability to train staff junior staff.
