Our reputed Client an Oil and Gas Company is urgently looking for a Offshore Supervisor Survey in Doha Qatar.

OFFSHORE SUPERVISOR SURVEY

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Hydrographic Survey or Equivalent Degree from an internationally recognized Institution.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years total experience in the Oil and Gas related industry on offshore hydrographic surveys of pipelines/cables, ROV Survey operations and general surveys by side-scan sonar, sub-bottom profilers, single and multi-beam echo-sounders and magnetometers using DGPS.
  • Experienced in the use and calibrations of acoustic tracking systems (USBL / LBL) including but not limited to HPR, HiPap, and Fusion.
  • Candidate should have good communication skills and professional approach in dealing with contractors/asset holders and should be in a position to provide constructive support during execution of offshore works.
  • Preference will be given to experience in subsea cable lay/burial works as survey representative/Party Chief.
  • Must have performed the role as a contractor Party Chief on similar surveys or has performed the role as a Senior Client Offshore Survey Representative.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shall be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with HSE Policies and Procedures
  • Shall be responsible for performing a mobilization inspection of the Contractors survey equipment and its configuration and verifying its compliance to the required HSE Standards
  • Shall be responsible for coordinating with the RLIC/ Marine and the obtaining of a Permit to Work for all operations. Shall ensure that a Permit to Work is in-place to cover the entire work period
  • Shall act as the On-Scene Representative in the event of any offshore Emergency incident and shall act in support of the Vessel Master and liaise with the COMPANY Marine as required.
  • Shall be responsible for acting as the Offshore COMPANY survey Representative, liaising with the onshore COMPANY survey for interpretation clarification as required
  • Shall be responsible for the monitoring of the effective work plan execution by the Contractor.
  • Shall be responsible for performing a mobilization inspection of the Contractors survey, communication, relevant vessel equipment and its configuration and verifying its suitability and compliance to the Contract Requirements. Shall witness and verify all mobilization checks and calibrations performed onboard the vessel.
  • Shall be responsible for ensuring that the work is performed in accordance with the Contractors Quality Plans and shall ensure that all equipment calibrations are valid and carried-out with the appropriate frequency
  • Shall perform QA/QC checks on all prime survey data to ensure its validity
  • Shall perform QA/QC checks on the gathered survey data to ensure its validity and correct interpretation and charting
  • Shall review the Contractors final reporting charts and data
  • Shall perform QA/QC checks of the Contractors final data-base of survey data and shall ensure that the Contractor implements data back-ups and data security measures in accordance with the Quality Plans
  • Shall provide input to the Contractors Daily Operations Report and shall validate its content and accuracy
  • Shall provide operational feed-back to the onshore COMPANY survey and submit operations performance reports as required
  • Shall produce an Operations Report in conjunction with the Contractor for the purposes of identifying opportunities for future project and performance improvements
  • Shall act as the contract focal point offshore, coordination of the contractors work execution operations with the marine and other Company assets, the monitoring of the contractors HSE Plan implementation and the performance of QA/QC checks of the contractors gathered data.
  • Shall ensure that the contractor executes the approved scope of work in accordance with the approved procedures and must understand the operational interfaces required to achieve the objective.
