Our reputed Client an Oil and Gas Company is urgently looking for a “Drilling Engineer (Night Shift)” in Abu Dhabi UAE.

Position Primary Objective

Support Drilling Manager in conducting and coordinating the processes for all aspects of drilling engineering for the Project.             

Key Result Area Primary Responsibilities

Drilling Engineering Management

• Provide drilling engineering expertise for the preparation of drilling program and derailed operating procedure for successful drilling operation.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for the preparation of BoWD (Basis of Well Design) for planned wells.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for the preparation of tender process specifications, technical functional specifications, scope of work of drilling equipment and services, the selection of contractors.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for specific recommendations for specific equipment and materials to be ordered to contractors.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for developing WP&B and AFE documents.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for recommendation and/or suggestion for risk analysis such as HAZID, DWOP, TWOP.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for carrying out data analyses to enhance learning effect in future operations.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for closely monitoring daily drilling operations and initiating the processes of MOC whenever necessary.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for interfacing with logistics staffs to stay abreast of daily activities and provide insight, advices and suggestions to them for day to day safe and efficient arrangement.
• Provide drilling engineering expertise for preparation of drilling operating End of Well Report.
• Ensure the compliance to all applicable laws and regulations, while meeting with business and operational requirements.                  

 Skills and Experience requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas Company in Abu Dhabi.
• Ability to identify, analyze and resolve complex problems and to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Full understanding of HSE importance in planning and executing projects.
• Full understanding of the importance of the compliance to laws and regulations, rules in planning and executing projects.
• Ability to use drilling engineering software.
