The Opportunity

As a Family Support Practitioner, you'll provide therapeutic and intensive family support to children, young people and families experiencing complex challenges.

Working in partnership with Aboriginal Family Wellness Workers, you'll help families build on their strengths, improve safety and wellbeing, and access the support they need to thrive.

You'll manage your own caseload while collaborating with internal teams and external services to deliver coordinated, culturally responsive care.

About You

You'll bring:

• Qualifications in Social Work, Counselling or a related Human Services discipline
• Experience working with children and families experiencing trauma or adversity
• Strong case management and assessment skills
• A trauma-informed, strengths-based approach
• The ability to build genuine relationships with Aboriginal people and communities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Essential Requirements

• Full Australian working rights
• Current Driver Licence
• NT Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain)
• National Criminal History Check
• Commitment to culturally safe, family-centred practice
