Join a Dedicated CYMHS Team in Regional Queensland
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in South West Queensland. This community-based role supports children and young people (up to 18 years old) experiencing serious mental health disorders and complex challenges.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented care while enjoying a structured Monday to Friday roster and the opportunity to gain valuable regional experience.
The Role
Operating under the clinical governance of the eCYMH team, this position holds a distinct caseload and provides outreach to surrounding communities across the South West region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide community-based consultation, comprehensive assessment, and evidence-based treatment
- Manage a dedicated caseload of children and young people (up to 18 years)
- Deliver outreach services to surrounding local communities
- Work within a multidisciplinary team under a holistic and integrated framework
- Provide recovery-oriented and person-centred care
- Engage with community-managed and non-government organisations
- Contribute to innovative and culturally safe service development
- Demonstrate professional leadership across clinical care, education, service improvement, and/or research domains
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in clinical mental health services
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or a related discipline
- Current AASW registration or eligibility (for Social Workers) or relevant professional registration
- Demonstrated experience working within child and youth mental health settings (highly desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously within a community-based environment
- Strong assessment, intervention, and case management skills
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team framework
Salary & Benefits
- Up to $87.75 per hour + super (based on experience)
- Shared accommodation provided
- Travel allowance included (up to $250 each way)
