Assistant Stores Controller

Assistant Stores Controller (RL10576) Northallerton, England

Castle Procurement are recruiting for an Assistant Engineering Stores Controller to join an established manufacturing business based near Northallerton,  North Yorkshire    This is a permanent position  and would suit someone with previous experience of working within an  engineering  purchasing  role

 Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sourcing suppliers and obtaining goods and services at competitive prices
  • Proving Engineering purchasing and storage service to the site
  • Purchasing a range of engineering products and services
  • Negotiating prices of goods and services
  • Managing and controlling the dispatch and delivery of equipment
  • Administer the stores systems and do thorough stock checks
  • Produce reports for the engineering budgets

Castle Procurement are therefore looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience within purchasing in an engineering environment
  • Competent in using stock and purchasing software packages
  • Technical ability at Basis Mechanical level
  • Good negotiation skills and a confident  telephone manner

  • Free on site parking
  • Salary £20-21k
  • A very well established and successful food manufacturing  business based near Northallerton
  • Hours of work 9.00-17.00
  • The business is easily accessible from  the surrounding areas
