Buyer (RL10145) Malton, England

Castle Employment are looking for an experienced  Buyer to join an established Manufacturing business based  on the outskirts of Malton, North Yorkshire.  Reporting in to the Operations Manager, this is initially a fixed term contract for 14 months to cover maternity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of all indirect material requirements for various sites
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers
  • Ensure all purchase orders are inputted to the SAP database
  • Maintain positive working relationships with supplier base
  • Ensure all Vendor requests are corrected and approved
  • Conduct cost/price analysis

Castle Procurement are therefore looking for anyone with the relevant skills and/or experience below:

  • Experience of purchasing within a similar environment
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related subject is an advantage
  • Knowledge of commodities/products under area of procurement
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
