Buyer (RL8730) Pickering, England

Castle Employment are looking for an experienced  Buyer to join an established business based in North Yorkshire.  The successful individual will be responsible for the purchase of goods and services as required by the company. This is a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain quotations
  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Expediting outstanding purchase orders
  • Liaising with other parts of the business
  • Resolve any queries to aid the cash flow of the business
  • General clerical duties

Skills/Experience needed:

  • Relevant experience within an engineering manufacturing environment desirable
  • Minimum 2 years purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
  • MRP experience would be an advantage
  • An understanding of quality requirements & procedures for MOD/sub sea vehicles
  • Excellent communication  and organisational  skills
  • A relevant degree qualification preferable, but not essential
