A well-established manufacturing business in Northampton is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join a busy fabrication workshop producing high-quality metal components and assemblies. You’ll be working with mild steel, following engineering drawings and meeting production and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• MIG welding mild steel components
• Fabrication work including cutting, prepping, tacking and assembling
• Working from complex engineering drawings 
• Using workshop equipment (e.g. grinders, saws, drills and jigs)
• Inspecting welds for quality, strength and accuracy
• Supporting daily production targets and completing rework/adjustments when required

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong understanding of weld symbols, tolerances and fabrication methods
• Confident using hand tools and workshop machinery
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Package:

• Long-term temporary to permanent position
• Immediate start
• 3 Weeks on day shift whilst training before going onto nights
• Days = Monday – Friday 06:00am – 16:15 paid at £15.00ph
• Nights = Nights 20:00pm – 04:00am paid at £17.31ph
