CNC Miller

Location: Andover

Pay rate: £16.00–£20.00 per hour (DOE)

Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:30 | Fri 08:00–15:30

Contract: Permanent

A well-established precision engineering business is looking to hire an experienced CNC Miller to strengthen its machining team. This role suits a capable setter/operator who enjoys producing high-quality tight-tolerance components.

What you’ll be doing:

• Set and operate CNC milling machines
• Deliver first-off components and specialist jobs
• Identify tooling needs to keep production running smoothly
• Manage workload effectively in line with production schedules
• Complete shop-floor documentation accurately (routing sheets, tickets and computer-based records)
• Carry out self-inspection to ensure parts meet specification
• Support continuous improvement work (including scrap reduction and quality improvements)

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in CNC machining / precision manufacturing
• Confident setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Experience machining high-precision components in a low-volume environment
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Comfortable completing self-inspection and maintaining high quality standards
