CMM Programmer

Salary: £16.00–£20.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:30, Friday: 08:00–15:30

Contract: Permanent

Location: Andover

A precision engineering and advanced manufacturing business is seeking an experienced, detail-focused CMM Programmer to join its Inspection & Quality function. You’ll be responsible for programming and operating CMMs using PC-DMIS to inspect complex, high-precision machined components, ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Program CMM machines using PC-DMIS
• Create and edit CMM inspection programmes
• Perform a variety of inspection techniques including first-off, in-process and final inspections
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
• Use manual inspection equipment (micrometres, verniers, gauges, height gauges, etc.)
• Support root cause investigations and quality improvement activity

Experience Required:

• Proven experience programming and operating CMM machines
• Strong experience with PC-DMIS
• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings
• Experience inspecting high-precision machined components
• Excellent knowledge of inspection techniques and quality standards in manufacturing
• Confident using manual measurement equipment (micrometres, gauges, verniers, height gauges)
