CAD Designer

Salary: £37,000–£45,000 (DOE)

Location: Tuxford (Nottinghamshire)

Hours: 07:00 –16:30

Duration: Permanent Position

A growing engineering business is looking for a CAD Designer to support their busy fabrication department. The role will involve creating detailed designs and fabrications for various engineering projects as well as working with the team on fabrication of products.

What you’ll be doing:

• Producing detailed 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings
• Creating schematics to specifications from project managers/engineers
• Turning design requirements into accurate fabrication plans
• Supporting fabrication delivery with the team, ensuring quality and safety compliance
• Reviewing and updating drawings based on feedback and project changes
• Preparing documentation for manufacturing/construction use
• Contributing to cost-effective product pricing

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in CAD design and fabrication within construction/engineering
• Strong capability across CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks
• Solid understanding of construction processes and fabrication techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/schematics
• Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple jobs
• Ideally hold CSCS and Confined Space certifications
