Trade Counter Salesperson
My client is a successful well established supplier of products for the construction industry. They are looking for an experienced customer service / sales professional to work in their busy trade counter.
In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of their full range of products and so therefore, previous sales experience in a busy merchant or DIY retail environment is preferred.
The role
Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the telephone
Selling their full range of products for both trade and DIY retail customers
Giving excellent customer service and product advice at all times
Providing quotes for customers
Taking a proactive approach to sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
Working within a team to ensure the customer receives high levels of customer service to ensure repeat business
Person Requirements
Building supplies product knowledge or knowledge of related products such as plumbing and heating, electrical, insulation OR DIY
Confident both face-to-face and over the phone
Ability to build strong customer relationships
A good telephone manner with excellent communication skills
Confident when dealing with customers
The ability to build great customer relationships
A good telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skill
Computer literate
