THE COMPANY
My client is a well-established growing distributor of decorating products for trade and retail customers. They are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager / External Sales Executive, with experience in selling within the decorating industry, to manage the acquisition and development of new accounts and manage existing accounts in the Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire and East Midlands area.
THE ROLE
Driving sales opportunities to maximise growth of sales within a defined territory for both existing and new customers
Wining new business and reinvigorating lapsed and dormant accounts
Following leads and building relationships, acquiring a thorough understanding of customer's needs and requirements
Identifying potential new customers and forging new relationships at all levels
Offering product advice and support
Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times to ensure repeat business.
Negotiating terms in line with company guidelines
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Previous proven sales experience gained within the decorating or related industry in a customer facing role
Exceptional sales and customer relationship building skills
Strong negotiation and facilitation experience with problem solving ability
Ability to identify and understand business opportunities and build long term relationships
Proven experience in price negotiation
Excellent numeracy and problem solving capabilities
Full UK driving licence essential
