HSSEQ Support & Quality Coordinator (Permanent) – South Northumberland

We’re recruiting a HSSEQ Support & Quality Coordinator to strengthen our client's Quality Management System (QMS), support HSSEQ activities and drive continuous improvement across the business.

This role is key to how they manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), HSSEQ observations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)—ensuring issues are identified, understood and closed out in a structured, data-led way. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations and project teams to improve compliance, efficiency and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate NCRs from identification through to closure
  • Lead/support RCA activity, ensuring corrective actions are effective and measurable
  • Track HSSEQ observations and drive timely follow-up and resolution
  • Support internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with standards and procedures
  • Maintain and improve QMS documentation, workflows and reporting systems
  • Produce clear analysis of HSSEQ and quality data, highlighting trends and insights
  • Develop dashboards, charts and reports for effective communication and decision-making
  • Embed continuous improvement practices with engineering and project teams
  • Explore and pilot AI-enabled tools to improve documentation, analysis and decision-making

Experience / qualifications

  • Engineering background: degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with data/trend analysis and evidence-based decision making
  • Process improvement experience (process mapping, workflow optimisation, CI initiatives)
  • Competent with modern digital platforms and AI-enabled tools
  • Understanding of quality systems, NCR processes or HSSEQ frameworks (highly desirable)
